5月30日までフィラデルフィア美術館で開催されているRonan and Erwan Bouroullecの個展「Circus: Bouroullec Designs」にて、若林佛具製作所で製作した作品も先行展示されています。

2018年より当社では日本の伝統工芸と職人の技術を他分野にも活躍の場を広げるべく、Ronan and Erwan Bouroullecに依頼しヨーロッパで展開するアート・インテリアコレクションの製作を進めています。この度の個展で展示されている作品は花器・花・プレートなどの作品です。漆や金箔のほか、蝋型鋳造、金属着色の技術を使用して製作いたしました。

Information on the exhibit of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s works

Until May 30th Philadelphia Museum of Art will display works made by Wakabayashi Butsugu Mfg as part of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec’s solo exhibition “Circus: Bouroullec Designs”.

Since 2018, we have sought to expand Japanese traditional crafts and artisan skills to other fields and so we commissioned Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to create art and interior collections in Europe.The works on display at this solo exhibition include vases, flowers and plates. In addition to lacquer and gold leaf, wax casting and metal coloring techniques were used to create these pieces.
It may be a long trip for those who live far away, but we hope to see everyone who lives close at the venue.

Thank you to Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for this incredible opportunity and to everyone else who was involved.In addition, we are currently working on a number of pieces with Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec to display in Paris during 2023.
